37hrs per week including occasional out of hours and weekends

We have available an active and varied role working as a Community Activity Leader delivering and promoting a variety of activities to all members of the community in a variety of settings, including schools, sports clubs and day centres

You will be responsible for developing and delivering a range of innovative and high quality activities, including sports coaching to increase physical activity participation levels, as well as the publicity and promotion and the setting of performance indicators. You will also provide advice to groups and individuals.

You will have an active interest and experience in promoting and delivering sport and physical activity, and will have gained a degree or relative experience in this field, and a minimum Level 2 National Governing Body award in a mainstream curricular sport.

Experience of working with people with a disability in community, club and school setting would be desirable. Your interpersonal and leadership skills will be vital, combined with your experience in developing, organising and promotion of sport and physical activity.

The role involves travelling to various locations around the Salisbury area so a full driving licence and access to your own transport are essential.

You will need to show us that you are highly motivated, have excellent communication and inter-personal skills, be able to work as part of a team and on your own initiative. You will have proven organisation skills and have the ability to work under pressure ensuring key priorities and deadlines are met.

The successful candidate will be subject to a satisfactory DBS Check.
