Job Details

We are currently looking for a Commis Waiter to join the team at our Woodcote Park clubhouse near Epsom in Surrey, helping to deliver excellent service standards for our members and their guests.

The Role: As Commis Waiter, you will work closely with senior members of staff to ensure daily restaurant duties are carried out successfully, maintaining exceptional customer service standards at all times.  You will collect food from the kitchen and deliver it to our guests; as well as ensuring tables are cleared of dishes promptly, reporting any customer feedback to the manager on duty.

The Person: In order to succeed in this role you must be passionate about customer service; driven by a desire to help our members and their guests enjoy a pleasant dining experience with us. You must be Basic Food Hygiene Level One certified to be considered, and an NVQ in food service is also advantageous, although not specifically required. As you will interact with our members and their guests frequently you must also have excellent communication skills, which will also go some way to ensuring you work well as part of our dedicated team.

The Royal Automobile Club embodies both the rich history of British motoring and the best tradition of private members’ clubs - prestigious yet always welcoming. Here at Woodcote Park, our clubhouse set in 350 acres of Surrey parkland near Epsom, we’re passionate about pioneering ever-higher standards of dining, accommodation and sporting facilities.

When you join the Club, we’ll provide you with fantastic benefits including; a free local shuttle bus service from Epsom station to Woodcote Park, Perkbox discount scheme, a very generous pension scheme, employer paid health cash plan, free meals on duty and a genuine investment in your personal development.

Most importantly, you’ll share our values. We combine a passion for our heritage with a desire to achieve new levels of excellence. We exceed expectations, treat each other with respect, and ensure mutual trust is at the core of everything we do. If you can live these values, you’ll see your efforts recognised and your potential nurtured in an organisation that’s full of individuals who have come up through the ranks, learned new skills or taken their careers in surprising new directions.
