When you join us as Sous Chef you will have the opportunity to produce 5 star standards of food while maintaining the smooth running of the kitchen operation and taking control in the absence of the Head Chef. You will continually strive for perfection and high levels of Member satisfaction at our Woodcote Park clubhouse near Epsom in Surrey. 

The Role:

We deliver a range of cuisines across a number of outlets including a Brasserie, Fine Dining, Lounge and Buffet to a high calibre of clientele. Working under our Executive Head Chef, Philip Corrick, and our Head Chef you will be encouraged to learn and develop your skills and career as a Chef.  It’s a great development opportunity, and many of our Chef's have been entered into and won a number of culinary competitions across the UK.

As Sous Chef, you will train and support the wider kitchen team including Sous, CDP and Commis in order to consistently deliver to the expectation of Members, guests and management. You will be expected to assist in delivering against budget requirement as set out by the CMC and board, including food, wage and all other costs attached to the department. The role will see you take responsibility for:

• Planning and producing rotas that ensure correct cover to manage the business requirements within budget.
• Process all orders through Procure Wizard, adhering to supplier cut off points.
• Accept daily deliveries and ensure all are in order by checking weights and quality.
• Prepare menu changes in advance working with the team, using the sales mix.

The Person:

We are seeking a committed and proven Sous Chef with relevant experience in a similar 5 star kitchen environment and who has the passion, skills and ambition to thrive in a fast paced kitchen.
