Apartment Supervisor - The Hoxton, Holborn

We are currently recruiting for an Apartment Supervisor, to join us here at The Hoxton Holborn. 

Your Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a positive and friendly attitude at all times, even when working to achieve solutions to challenges.
  • You will be the primary contact for all delegates attending events on the day, assisting with their requirements (i.e. equipment set up, admin tasks, catering, etc.)
  • Maintain the meeting room area, ensuring all rooms are set up correctly according to the instructions given and ensure all areas are kept neat and tidy at all times.
  • To be responsible for the billing of each event and ensure all events are checked in and out in a timely manner.
  • To maintain observation over delegates and delegates’ property to ensure security alerts are kept to a minimum.
  • Ensure all telephone calls are answered as quickly and efficiently as possible.
  • To report any maintenance issues to the correct department and check to ensure the work has been completed.
  • In conjunction with the Front Office Manager, ensure the Apartment is sufficiently staffed at all times whilst delegates are present.
  • Responsible for ordering and monitoring all stock on a regular basis and responsible for submitting the monthly stocktake to finance by the required deadline each month.
  • Responsible for processing all invoices in regards to guest supplies, stationery, equipment and larder as required.
  • Display awareness of departmental costs and ensure that all expenses are kept in line with budget guidelines.
  • Assist the M&E Coordinator with conversion of enquiries as and when required.
  • Assist the M&E Coordinator with site inspections and client appointments.
  • Ensure there is a smooth transition with minimal disruption from Day to Night set up with Soho House.
  • To be fully aware, competent in and follow at all times:
  • Hotel fire procedures.
  • Hotel security procedures.
  • Hotel health & safety policy and procedures.
  • Hotel and departmental operational standards and procedures.
  • Customer service standards.
  • To work in a safe manner at all times, ensuring personal safety and the safety of others.
  • Ensuring all items raised which may cause harm to guests or other employees are addressed immediately to the Duty Manager.
  • To ensure your appearance meets the Hotel standard at all times and your uniform is maintained in good repair and that you achieve the high standard of personal hygiene.
  • To help where required within the business as a whole.
  • To achieve and maintain the highest possible levels of customer service at all times.
  • To inspect the facilities on a regular basis and report any maintenance issues to the Duty Manager.
  • To assist fellow colleagues both within and outside your normal department where possible to ensure operational and customer service requirements are achieved at all times.

Your skills:

  • You have hotel or leisure related experience in a similar role.
  • High level of verbal and written communication skills, competent computer skills and some understanding of GDS. 
  • You have experience of Micros Fidelio Opera or a similar front desk operating system.
