How will you make a difference?
Here's the short answer;
Customer service is at the heart of everything we do at Asda. Every customer expects great service and Asda customers are no exception. We expect you to be warm and friendly to all our customers. In your role as a Porter, you have a great opportunity to welcome customers, talk to them, and make their shopping trip memorable. We treat our customer service very seriously, and to help us continually improve our standards of service, we have a company measure which is ‘Happy To Help’. Customers want to be looked after and feel safe in our stores throughout the year. Don’t forget the importance of keeping the car park gritted in icy weather. You need to actively look out for customers who need help, then approach them and offer your assistance. This shows we care and customers really appreciate it.
Everyday matters
We’re proud of our warm and friendly service. It’s what our customers love and have come to expect. So we’ll always expect you to:
Carry bags and push trolleys for customers leaving the store, especially if they are obviously struggling Collect and check Warehouse delivery documentation for accuracy Help customers to load their shopping into the boot, then offer to take the trolley back to the trolley bay for them Recommend a specialist trolley where appropriate (big shopper, handy shopper, twin baby etc). Fetch the trolley for the customer Organise a wheelchair of electric scooter for customers with mobility problems, or help them fit a wheelchair trolley or basket to their own wheelchair Direct customers to parking spaces at busy times When it is raining. Offer the brolly patrol And much more!!
