As a Product Owner, I am responsible for:

The management of Haven products for the developments roadmap by ensuring that it offers a strong value proposition to our customers and users and that it creates a desired business benefit.

Help transform our goals and objectives into tangible actions and deliverables. They combine knowledge of product management, software, and communication with work flow techniques like agile/waterfall methods, prioritisation, delivery, iteration, and measurement. Understanding opportunities, risks, and limitations to guide the flow of work across multiple teams.

Day-to-day responsibilities:

  • To own the vision of each development
  • Owning the entire product management cycle
  • To come up with new development ideas
  • Create business cases and briefs for product development
  • Project planning
  • Formalise requirements into specifications (user stories)
  • Prioritise the development backlog
  • Communicates the vision to the development team
  • Working closely with development, content and QA teams
  • Working closely with stakeholders within the business
  • Owning the development budget, maintaining budget spreadsheets and reconciliation
  • Involvement in strategy planning
  • Refining developments throughout the sprints
  • Testing and making sure all acceptance criteria is met
  • Work with user experience, and design agencies as well as IT to design and deliver optimum customer experience for each project
  • Facilitating development by working with design and UX teams
  • Test and analyse the impact of the developments and to track performance
  • Produce weekly reports and own the measurement framework
  • Quarterly project presentation reviews with stakeholders Skills Required
  • Can work under pressure
  • Excellent verbal and written communication with experience with Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • A good understanding of customer experience
  • Strong technical skills and analytical mindset
  • Strong experience with Agile methodologies
  • Able to manage multiple projects
  • Ability to work independently
  • Able to deal with conflict
