About the role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the sustainable business team who are involved in project delivery, providing insight and analysis, connecting with opinion formers, leading suppliers and helping the business adapt to the changing business requirements in sustainability.
As Sustainability Coordinator you will play a critical part in driving the sustainability strategy forward with particular focus on reporting, data analytics and project management.
Ideally, you will have a qualification and/or experience relating to sustainability along with strong analytical skills and the ability to multi- task in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.

The ins and outs:

You will work on the sustainability strategy to help the business adapt to regulatory and other changes through supporting the wider team to manage the relationship with the sustainability sector. You will:Coordinate data collection and analysis with internal and external audiencesEnsure the provision of technical / specialist adviseRepresenting Asda sustainability team at internal and external eventsBecome Walmart international zero waste country lead for reporting, best practice, auditing and testing new processesLead Walmart sustainable commodities reportingCoordinating the Asda Carbon foot print reportWorking with SuppliersManage the sustainability activity planCoordinate Financial planning and budgetary for the full sustainability teamLead all internal communications for sustainabilityAssist with Store operational sustainability communications
What you’ll need:

As Sustainability coordinator, we require an organised individual with good attention to detail and a commercial appreciation. You may possess:
  • Commercial appreciation
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
  • A self-motivated individual; a good team player
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft packages
  • Project management experience
  • Organised with good time management skills
