Circa £27,000 per annum.

Shift Pattern and Contracted Hours

Annualised Hours - Full-time, permanent: 39 hours per week 

(Monday - Friday 9am–5pm with flexibility required/rota’d weekend working and possibility of on-call) 

Job Description

A position has arisen, based at its Distribution Centre in Kettering, for a Supply Chain Distribution Requirements Supervisor to join its Central Ordering Team.  Responsible for the development of distribution plans & associated production requirements from factories to end-markets within a leading FMCG organisation.

ROLE:

Reporting to the Distribution Requirements Manager, we are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to drive significant change and development across Supply Chain Management, you will be responsible for:

  • Conducting data analysis of Key Performance Indicators – such as product availability, stock wastage, supplier performance and when necessary, escalating to the Distribution Requirements Manager.
  • Completing day-to-day people administration, such as welcome back meetings, probationary reviews, PDR’s.
  • Delivering finished goods replenishment plans by calculating replenishment requirements across all levels of primary supply chain, on weekly basis, based on demand plans whilst supporting colleagues to do the same.
  • Maintaining finished goods stock levels across consolidation warehouse as per inventory policies set for storage location / SKU.
  • Creating distribution model and deployment plans for new / adjusted product launches / promo campaigns.
  • Ensuring availability of timely & accurate information of replenishment requirements & deployment plans for rest of weekly planning processes.
  • Contributing to regular reviews of inventory policies for finished goods, and at storage location / SKU level.
  • Resolving potential inventory liabilities / issues as they arise on behalf of the department.
  • Ensuring distribution plans provide high product availability whilst maintaining optimal stock levels.
  • Maintaining relevant planning data in SAP to facilitate accurate planning.
  • Aligning distribution plans across Demand Function, and be aware of all product requirements - ensuring smooth transition during project changes.
  • Collaborating with Supply Chain planning team - ensuring transparent planning information flow.
  • Maintaining and encouraging strong relationships with sites and cross functional teams.
  • Communicating new product launches and promotional campaigns to meet customer demands throughout network.

Skills

  • Demonstrable experience within Supply Chain Planning, preferably across Distribution
  • Industry experience within an FMCG organisation highly advantageous
  • Knowledge of the end-to-end supply chain management process, including: procurement and planning with a sound appreciation of Best Practice
  • An ability to communicate at all levels and to co-ordinate stakeholder requirements.
  • An ability to make decisions to ensure problem resolution is implemented to achieve daily operational deadlines.
  • Strong analytical, planning, communication and influencing skills
  • Strong system knowledge (SAP, Excel)
  • An ability to take responsibility for day-to-day decisions
  • An adaptable, flexible and self-motivated approach to ensure targets are met
  • Flexible to support business needs cross functionally
  • An ability to demonstrate strong Company values behaviour
