What is the main purpose of the role?
Supporting the Regional Sales Manager to ensure sales are maximised through proactive structures planning and action in order to achieve / exceed the Oxford Thames and Oxford Spires hotel budgeted targets in all revenue areas.
Following the extensive investment programme and repositioning of the hotels; identify new markets and clients to support the planned growth strategy in terms of both rate and occupancy in the corporate, and conference & banqueting market segments.
Support the Regional Sales Manager with the implementation of the pro active sales plan for these market segments for the hotel.
Work closely with the sales team to ensure all key business opportunities are identified, penetrated and converted.
Keep accurate and timely records of all customer interaction in the hotel systems that are in line with company standards and KPIs.
Pro-actively promote the entire Group at every sales opportunity and ensure all new leads are researched and followed up.
Role includes Group activities such as Fam trips, Group hospitality events and sales calling days.
The ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone with a track record of sales achievement in the service, hospitality or a related industry. To be successful, you should have a thorough understanding of the channels to market to create revenue opportunities. In addition you will be well networked and aware of local, national and global trends in the industry.
You will have a high degree of commercial awareness and be able to understand the links between sales and profit. You'll also have excellent communication skills and an entrepreneurial way of working in order to attract new clients. A clean driving license is required.
