Customer Services Assistant - London Zoo (Part-Time / 8 Weeks Fixed-Term Contract)

The Zoological Society of London (ZSL), a charity founded in 1826, is a world-renowned centre of excellence for conservation science and applied conservation. ZSL’s mission is to promote and achieve the worldwide conservation of animals and their habitats. This is realised by carrying out field conservation and research in over 50 countries across the globe and through education and awareness-raising at our two zoos, ZSL London Zoo and ZSL Whipsnade Zoo, inspiring people to take conservation action.

Role Profile

ZSL is looking for a Customer Services Assistant to join our busy Supporter Services and Membership Team, based at ZSL London Zoo. The Supporter Services team is a single point of contact for general enquiries, members and donors, as well as being the portal through which other ZSL products and experiences can be sold and booked. This role will be focused on helping customers with membership enquiries and will be based within our membership kiosk.

Person Specification

  • Be educated to ‘A’ level standard or equivalent and a qualification in customer service would be desirable.
  • Have a good working knowledge of a customer relationship management system within a charity or commercial environment; a good working knowledge of SR04 would be advantageous.
  • Have excellent numerical, written and oral skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and customer care skills too; experience working in a customer service department within a charity would be an advantage.
  • Be objective and target driven; highly organized and able to work well under pressure both on their own as part of a team.

If you have a passion for providing amazing customer service in an exciting, fast paced environment, then we would love to hear from you.

Please note: This is a seasonal part time role working every Saturday and Sunday on an 8 week fixed-term contract. This position will begin as soon as possible in July.
