Receptionist - London

Reporting to: Finance and Administration Manager

Department: The Chelsea Health Club & Spa

Working Hours: You will be required to work Part-time (24 hours per week) on a shift basis. Weekdays: early Shifts - 05.45-14.00, late Shifts – 13.45-22.00 or middle shifts 10.00-18.00. Weekends: 07.45-16.00 or 09.45-18.00

Job function: Welcome and attend to visitors and members on the front desk.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To deliver the highest standards of service and ensure the smooth running for Reception at The Chelsea Health Club & Spa:
  • Meet & greet all members, members’ guests, prospective members and Spa clients in a professional and friendly manner
  • Being able to deal with all level of customers face to face and on the telephone.
  • To give and receive accurate shift handovers ensuring all items requiring attention are detailed in handover diary and initialled confirming completion
  • To deal with Member queries/complaints promptly referring them to the management where appropriate.
  • To be aware of all facilities and special promotions operating within the Club in order to maximise sales in all areas
  • Able to provide and perform following reports and tasks: Use of Brightlime system, book member appointments, monitor attendance, take payments, pass on messages, update member information, accurate float checks and cash transactions, end of day cash up duties
  • Take on ‘Duty supervisor (DS) duties’ as required to open and close the club
  • Adhere to all departmental SOPs
  • Assisting disable guests and assisting with fire evacuation
  • To be aware of all facilities and special promotions operating within the Club in order to maximise sales in all areas.

 

Additional responsibilities:

  • Membership’s show rounds according to business needs 
  • Sign up new members using correct procedures
  • Make telephone calls following up membership enquiry/ leads
  • Perform ad hoc tasks and assist the Manager when needed
  • Assist with reception cover when needed e.g. last minute sickness cover, holiday cover

 

Person Spec:

  • Valid working visa for the UK
  • Pleasant manner and positive attitude at all times and to promote a good company image to members and colleagues alike with a commitment to excellent customer service
  • High level of discretion is essential
  • Excellent communication/customer care skills both verbal and written
  • Able to work shifts including weekends, early morning and evenings as well
  • Competent in the use of MS Office/ MS Word and MS Excel
  • Knowledge of Brightlime software is desirable
  • To be familiar with H&S procedure
