We currently have an amazing opportunity for a commercially astute and experienced Events professional to join our highly successful team at The Grand as an Event Manager.

Reporting to the Conference and Banqueting Operations Manager, in this busy events’ led hotel, this position is a key contributor to the department’s success.

The ideal candidate will understand what it means to deliver amazing hospitality and will thrive on the challenge of always exceeding guest’s expectations, whether overseeing a large dinner for 500, a high profile and complex conference for 800, the most precious day of someone's life on their wedding day or an intimate family dinner.

Working closely with other Event Managers and our Function Bars team, you will primarily be responsible for leading events, conferences and evening functions at the hotel and ensuring that the team are delivering a fantastic level of service to our guests

Your main responsibilities will include:
§Taking responsibility for the overall day to day running of allocated events.
§Leading the team to deliver results by providing day to day direction and leadership for direct reports
§Ensuring total guest satisfaction within the operation, by taking an active role in evolving & developing departmental operating standards, procedures and ways of working to ensure they are focused on providing an individual service to all guests
§Supporting and leading a service culture that ensures the guest experience is truly engaging throughout each and every interaction
§Delivering training to ensure the team has full knowledge of the department’s food and beverage products
§Create a supportive, fun and creative working environment, developing talent and demanding a quality and standard driven approach throughout each and every member of the team
Candidates will have a minimum of 2 years proven supervisory or junior management experience within a quality hotel or similar environment overseeing an events operation.
