Handyperson - Skibound Summer 2018

Stop! Hammer time…

Do you know the difference between a flat head and a pozi? Are you always the one to fix a leaky tap?  We’re looking for handy people to join our team that really know their way around a tool box. You’ll be maintaining our club hotels for the Summer season and be a real “jack of all trades” able to turn your hand to any basic maintenance issue.

What the mountains are lacking in snow during the Summer, they definitely make up for in the beautiful scenery and outdoor pursuits! If you’re into hiking and mountain biking or any kind of outdoor adventure, then this is a perfect time to join us.

The place you’ll call home is Alpe D’Huez, a busy ski resort during the winter and amazing location for a summer to remember. You’ll even get to see the Tour De France!

With our summer programme being mostly adult guests- we have a really keen focus on customer service and giving them an experience to remember. You’ll be super friendly at all times, be willing to work hard and get stuck in across job roles. Some of the summer is pretty chilled and we’re sure you’re going to have a great time, but we know when the heat is on and we work really hard, and you need to too!

You’ll have time to enjoy everything summer in the mountains has to offer, think watching sunsets over the mountains, bbqs by the lakes, hiking through forests or speeding down the mountain on one of the many mountain bike trails. We’ll make sure that once you’ve done the hard work, you’ll have time to play hard, or chill and work on that perfect tan…

We’re looking for people who…

  • Have excellent attention to detail and take pride in their work
  • Resourceful to get the job done (don’t forget you’ll be at the top of a mountain – no B&Q here!)
  • Prepared to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in, sometimes in different departments in the hotel
  • Hard working, yet efficient (means more time exploring the mountains!)

Not forgetting the formal bits

You’ll need to have an interest and some experience in general maintenance as well having your own kit of basic tools.
