Salary

£20,000 to £25,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus study support.

Work Pattern

Mainly dayshift Monday to Friday but flexibility is required.

Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Supply Chain Finance Team as a Finance Analyst. The role will be based at our Head Office in Newcastle upon Tyne and the main focus is to support the Finance Business Partner for Production.

This is a permanent, full time role based in Newcastle upon Tyne with some occasional travel.

 

Key responsibilities:

• Producing regular financial performance reporting for review with supply chain management highlighting trends and opportunities for improvement
• Reconciling stocks between financial and manufacturing system
• Investigating and explaining production variances
• Preparing ad-hoc analysis on manufacturing performance
• Understanding and supporting the product costing process and regularly review current product costs

As part of the wider supply chain finance team getting involved in:

• Regular forecasting
• Budgeting
• Delivery of cost reduction projects
• Investment appraisals
• Assisting with the implementation of an ERP-system in the manufacturing environment
• Collaborating with colleagues on cross-functional projects

Skills

• Graduate looking for a career in finance and wanting to complete a professional qualification (CIMA/ACCA)
• Analytical and inquisitive in nature with a high level of numeracy
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
• Self-motivated with willingness to learn
• Organised and able to prioritise and manage own workload
• IT-literate with advanced Excel skills and ability to manipulate data
• Good communicator with the ability to develop strong working relationships
• Sound level of commercial awareness, previous experience in a manufacturing environment would be advantageous
