About the role:

The Asda Insight team play a key role in delivering world class insight that both reveals opportunities and inspires customer focussed action across the business. As Customer Insight Manager, you will work closely with the Trading and Marketing teams to ensure that the customer is at the heart of key business decisions, through the scoping, creation and landing of commercially compelling insight.

The Ins and Outs:

Reporting into the Senior Manager – Customer Insight, you will support the Trading and Marketing functions understand the key customer and market issues and agitate for action with decision makers. You will:
•Be the voice of the customer – understand our customers, what they say and what they do and ultimately how this impacts on Asda
•Build strong and productive relationships with senior stakeholders to understand their issues, identify opportunities and inspire action
•Work closely with our research and data agencies/teams to understand all customer and market data
•Deliver relevant and tangible business recommendations through the translation of customer research/data
•Proactively seek new insights that will help our Trading and Marketing functions better deliver for our customers
•Management responsibility of an Insight Planner and agencies

What you’ll need:

You will possess a proven track record of delivering strategic, action focused insight. You will have experience of working with a team including external experts on customer research, analysis and market data. You will possess:
•Experience within a similar Insight Manager or Category Manager role, ideally within Retail or FMCG (agency or client side)
•Feel confident working with numerous data sources and methodologies, interpreting and drawing clear recommendations to inspire action. This will include market (Kantar/Nielsen) and internal data, qualitative and quantitative research and operational measures
•Strong project and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, with a flexible approach
•Effective communication skills with the ability to proactively network across functions and influence at all levels
•Ability to produce and present clear and engaging presentations, including proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
