An exciting Part-time opportunity has arisen with P&O Cruises Marketing department for a highly capable Marketing Manager (Fixed Term – Maternity) to join the team for 12 months here at Carnival UK.

The Role

This role reporting into the Senior Manager, will be responsible for:

  1. Managing marketing activity from brief to customer through understanding requirements of the business, agreeing strategy with senior stakeholders, briefing to agencies or studio and ensuring effective delivery of communications to meet the needs of the business and brand.

  2. Planning and executing the P&O Cruises brochures and ATL advertising strategy. Ensure that key senior stakeholders are engaged in the origination and approval process and that the work produced is brand enhancing, compliant and in line with the commercial requirements of the business.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Key account manager for Brand, Internal Comms and Operations.

  • Manage various campaigns (WAVE, Surf, brochure & magazine launches etc.)

  • Work with business to understand requirements, clarity of brief and alignment to strategic objectives prior to proceeding.

  • Coordinate proofing procedure and manage feedback of amends to Artworker/Designer/Copywriter.

  • Ensure project runs to schedule and stakeholders are updated on progress.

  • Identify opportunities for new projects.

  • Periodically review the quality of work with Senior Designer and Senior Copywriter to ensure high standards are maintained.

  • Liaise with magazine publishing houses and printers.

  • Manage photoshoots and their budgets with Senior Designer.

  • Select photographer with Senior Designer and appointed advertising agency and provide them with clear briefs.

  • Manage the Studio budget, including raising POs and coding invoices.

  • Understand the P&O Cruises customer strategy so as to optimise messaging and presentation of P&O Cruises marketing collateral.

  • Produce the required content for the Monthly Report.

 

Experience Required:

Essential:

  • Proven account management experience either in-house or external agency.

  • Strong experience of planning and delivering communications TTL.

  • Project management exposure.

  • Previous budget management and cost control management experience.

Desirable:

  • Brochure/magazine production.

  • Exposure to within an FMCG environment.

  • Experience of TV advertising, creative production & media planning from the client side.

  • Media buying and media selection experience.

  • Knowledge of print and broadcast media.

  • ASA awareness.

     

Education, Qualifications and Training:

Highly Desirable:

  • Degree in Marketing or other relevant field.

  • CIM Diploma or other equivalent qualification or professional training.
