Business Manager​ - Bradford

Reports to:

National Operations Manager.

Direct Reports:

Assistant Managers

Responsibilities:

Work with minimal supervision implementing the strategy and vision of the Board and BM to grow the business, ensuring that the highest standards of customer service is maintained at all times.

Lead and engage the whole Cinema team to deliver a great customer experience and business growth.

Engage with the local community to keep yourself aware of local market conditions, the community you serve and your competitors.

Develop internal and external relationships to help you achieve business objectives.

Undertake ad-hoc project work as required.

Manage ‘The Light Cinemas’ brand across all methods of communication and contact.

Act as the contact point for local authorities and enforcement agencies.

Perform the role of duty manager on a regular basis.

Create the environment to deliver all necessary Key performance indicators.

Managing People:

Implement, deliver and achieve your business objectives while driving your development.

Recruit, induct, train, develop and manage performance of Supervisors and Team members

Maximise engagement of the team through recognition, coaching and empowerment.

Use effective communication methods to create an environment where high performance can be developed and maximised.

Proactively deliver feedback with the appropriate balance of support and challenge.

Promote an environment of trust and shared ownership within the management team.

Hold monthly one to ones with direct reports with a focus on setting expectations and coaching to ensure that the highest standards of performance are delivered.

Deliver regular team meetings with all cinema employees, to ensure that the team is engaged, has a clear understanding of the vision and understands key communications.

Operations:

Deliver high levels of operational excellence across all aspects of the cinema to drive an improved customer experience and grow your business.

Ensure relevant checks are in place to ensure delivery of KPI’s

Establish practices which deliver consistent improvement in cleaning and general housekeeping.

Overall responsibility for managing the H&S of your cinema.

Ensure all business policies and procedures are followed too expected business standards.

Customer Service:

Create an atmosphere which allows your team to deliver great customer service.

Create a culture of empowerment to do the right thing for the customer and minimise customer complaints

Use all available data to make things better for our customers.

Engage with customers be being visible and responding to their needs.

Ensure the highest levels of Audio Visual presentation are maintained.

Make sure everything is working so our customers are not disappointed.

Finance:

Continually look for opportunities and suggest initiatives to grow your business and grow EBITDA.

React to and report local market conditions and trading to maintain business efficiency in a timely manner.

Control all cash and maintain banking controls.

Remain within budgetary constraints where applicable.

Skills Required:

Experience of successfully working with minimal supervision

Deliverers results through great people management

Proven track record in delivering operational excellence

Customer facing industry experience

Managing performance at supervisory level.

Experience of managing building maintenance

Knowledge of film

IT Literate

Knowledge of Audio Visual presentation

Presentation Skills

Have or has held a DPS licence. (Desirable)
