Cafe Assistant / Cook - Furzefield, Potters Bar

Full Time (39 hours per week)

Up to £16,224 per annum (Depending upon experience & age)

Hertsmere Leisure is a charity with a reputation for delivering high quality services in both leisure and children’s centres.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a cook position within the catering team at the Furzefield Leisure Centre, Potters Bar working with a dynamic and friendly team.

Would you be able to excel in the following? 

• Working ‘hands on’ in the kitchen preparing and delivering food to the nursery and Centre customers
• Ordering, rotating and controlling stock
• Understanding and implementing food hygiene regulations to the highest standards 
• Looking for new ways to maximise the income from the catering function
• Maintain and update HACCP systems as required
• Control of allergens
• Customer care
• Cash handling

The ideal candidate must have supervisory experience and a minimum of two years’ experience in a professional catering environment. You will hold (or be willing to work towards) a Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate.  A professional catering qualification would be an advantage but is not essential. 

You must be able to work every other weekend and some evenings. Applicants looking for part time are also welcome to apply.
