Facilities Manager

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Facilities Manager who is responsible for the on-site management of our Central Support Office in Newcastle upon Tyne.

As Facilities Manager you will directly manage a team of 4 and have full responsibility for the facilities within our Gosforth office.

Your main responsibilities will include :-

• Liaising with the landlord regarding building queries and/or any negotiations that arise
• Budget management and cost efficiencies
• Managing all security and health and safety policies and procedures
• Managing the Reception area and Receptionists
• Keeping a log of all maintenance issues and liaise with vendors to resolve
• Escalating any building issues to the managing agents
• Managing all internal desk/office moves
• Managing the mail room, including arranging and distribution of incoming mail and parcels, arranging courier services and franking outgoing mail
• Managing CCTV in our Reception area
• Managing taxi bookings, visitor bays and parking queries, catering requests and large events within the building

The successful candidate will have :-

• Previous experience in a similar facilities management role
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organisational skills with great attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and exercise initiative
