Here at Virgin Active, we are looking for a Lifeguard & First Aid Trainer to deliver lifeguard and first aid competency training to our staff.
Your job:
Reporting into the Lifeguard & First Aid Training Team Leader, the main responsibilities of the Lifeguard & First Aid Trainer include:
- Deliver Lifeguard & First Aid competency training to our staff
- Being responsible for the safe preparation of facilities and equipment required for the training sessions
- Producing training feedback on all areas of training and make recommendations where applicable on trainees
- Making recommendations if necessary regarding coaching that is conducted as a follow-on at club level
- Maintaining a consistently high standard of presentation when training
- Providing professional advice to General Managers and Line Mangers in relation to lifeguard and first aid questions & issues
- Maintaining accurate records of all participants who attend your training
- Producing reports on a regular basis
Your commitment:
This is a field based role with regular travel to clubs predominantly in London and the South East. This is a full time role working predominantly Monday-Friday, however flexibility is required to suit the needs of the business.
What we can’t live without:
To be successful as a Lifeguard & First Aid Trainer, you will have/be:
- A current First-Aid at Work and Lifeguard Qualification
- A Lifeguard & First Aid Trainer Assessor
- An Award in Teaching & Education Level 3 would be advantageous, but not essential
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal & written
- Excellent organisation skills with impeccable attention to detail
- A passion for training and development
- Strong planning and organising skills
- Good knowledge and use of Excel, PowerPoint and Word
