Head Office, Leeds (37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday)

We are currently recruiting for a Payroll Advisor to manage our in-house payroll for 52 gyms across the UK and over 700 colleagues.  Advanced skills in payroll and knowledge of payroll is essential. 

Reporting to the Head of People, you will work somewhat independently in a demanding high-volume payroll environment, on a range of payroll activities including managing the monthly pay cycle, administering pensions, year-end payroll activities including P11d reporting, business partner with Finance and management on payroll related activities and projects.

The ideal candidate must have worked in a similar role, in a multi-site fast paced business preferably in leisure or retail.  Candidates need to be commercially astute to manage payroll spend against budgets.  Candidates need to have advanced Excel skills, an analytical flare given the business reporting requirements and be knowledgeable in implementing legislative changes. 

You will have:

Demonstrable experience of working in a payroll function and processing monthly Payroll. Good understanding of UK payrollrelated legislation and statutory requirements, including PAYE and other deductions, and HMRC rules. Ideally experience with ADP Freedom system. Ideally a relevant qualification in payroll management
