Life Leisure have a number of holiday activities taking place across the Borough over the summer holidays, so we are looking for enthusiastic and passionate individuals to join our team.  There will be both paid and voluntary opportunities on offer, with the potential for extra work term time in September.

All activities will be with young people from the age of 5 years + (predominantly during the daytime), so ideally experience in  working  with  these  age  groups  is desirable. Qualifications  in  coaching,  youth  work  and  or  food  hygiene  arealso desirable, but not necessarily essential.

About this role:

Our Sports Coaches and Activity Leaders are enthusiastic, responsible and hardworking individuals who deliver a wide variety of sports sessions across our expanding provision within schools and the community. 

We have a large school holiday programme running at 6 sites across the Borough and have flexible opportunities for both assistant and lead sports coaches.  In addition, we currently operate in over 40 local primary schools and have a number  of  roles  available  for  coaches  with  experience  of  delivering  during  curriculum  time.  For  many  of  our team members  this  role  has  been  a  stepping  stone  towards  a  career  in  the  leisure  industry,  going  into  other  areas  of  the business and having access to numerous training opportunities.

Ideally  successful  candidates  should  hold  a  minimum  of  one  level  2  coaching  qualification  and  have  experience  of delivering  high  quality community and/or schools coaching programmes,  however we are also  looking for  volunteers who would like to gain experience before qualifying.

Recruitment for this role:

Recruitment  for  this  post  will  take  the  form  of  a  practical  recruitment  session  where  applicants maybe  required  to demonstrate their coaching skills. Recruitment sessions will be held on: Monday 18th June, Wednesday 20th June and Thursday 21st June.
