Activity Planning Coordinator

About the role:
A fantastic opportunity has arisen within the Central Commercial Execution team for an Activity Planning Coordinator. The Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the annual activity planning process, working cross functionally to give the business a clear view of activity and comms by week. This is a really good role for someone looking to increase their network and visibility across the trading floor and has huge stretch opportunities. The role is maternity cover and is for 9-12 months.
The role supports the Activity Planning Manager to deliver a compelling customer led Activity Plan designed to drive overall business performance ahead of the market & plan. Partnering with all functional areas & teams across Trading, Commercial Execution, Operations and finance. The role will also include supporting the Central Merchandising team.
The ins & outs:
•Work closely with the trading, operations and commercial execution teams to ensure the Activity Plan is up to date. Establish a process for understanding key category priorities and how this is fed into the Activity Plan
•Pull together a weekly summary of current activity and summarise any risks
•Support the Activity Planning Managers autopsy, evaluate and make recommendations per quarter to drive improvements to the Activity Plan
•Update and maintain plan including: activity changes, projected sales and actual sales, hours needed, scope
•Supporting the central merchandising team with report & dashboard building
•Training and updating course materials, as well as supporting merchandisers with software like JDA, Host and retail link with everyday queries
What you’ll need:
•Clear and confident communicator
•Excellent written skills and the ability to tailor these towards your intended audience
•Have the ability to simplify complex projects into easy to understand chunks
•A logical thinker who has the ability to present facts in a logical manner
•Creative thinking with the ability to implement these ideas
•Have strong organisational skills
•A willingness to proactively self-teach and problem solve technical issues.
•Desire to learn Alteryx & Tableau
•PC literate and experience using Microsoft Office programs such as Word and PowerPoint and Excel
•Excellent people skills
