Merchandising Assistant – George Home, General Merchandise
Based at Asda House in Leeds
About the role:
We currently have a Merchandising Assistant vacancy on the George Home team. This role offers the ideal candidate the opportunity to really develop their knowledge of the merchandising function and offers growth and stretch through close collaboration with both the Merchandise Manager & Buying manager. This role will support the team in achieving maximum sales and profit by planning stock and delivering balanced, timely and commercial ranges.
The ins and outs:
•Ad hoc analysis and reporting in order to support trading strategy and current trade decisions
•Line level forecasting within inventory plan, in line with OTB framework framework-attendance at replenishment meetings will be key to managing this
•Supporting the team in key critical path milestones.
•Develop an understanding of product lifestyle in own category
•Commercial knowledge of market place
•Supporting Merchandise Manager with actions to drive the rate delivery of the area & maximise turnover.
