What we need in a nutshell

We need someone who will make sure the touring section of our park is looking good, running smoothly and safe for everyone, from the very beginning to the very end of the season.

Some of the background

We’re not your average holiday company. Our guests come to our UK resorts to experience a world away from their day-to-day. When they are with us, they play crazy games, enjoy show-stopping entertainment and live in the moment. Our job is to surprise and delight them at every turn.

We need you to be the person who delivers delight by keeping the touring site in tip-top condition so that guests have nothing to think about but enjoying themselves.

The nitty gritty of what you’ll be doing

As part of our slightly bonkers team of holiday heroes, you’ll be responsible for maintaining the touring park grounds, looking after the equipment and making sure everyone is safe and happy. This will involve:

  • Keeping vacant pitches clean and tidy
  • Looking after all aspects of health and safety
  • Presenting the park at its best – watering plants, picking up litter etc
  • Keeping showers and toilet blocks in good order
  • Meeting, greeting and helping guests
  • Helping to implement the site rules – dogs on leads, speed limits etc

And who knows what else you may find yourself doing. If you’re happy to help even when it’s ‘not your job,’ you’re our sort of person.

This a full-time, seasonal role, which runs until the end of November, and you will need to work every Friday as that’s our changeover day. One more thing…holidays happen at holiday times, so you’ll be working your magic on bank holidays and weekends too.

Skills, experience and qualities you’ll need

We’re looking for a team player, someone who will work with their colleagues harmoniously and enthusiastically. You will also take pride in a job well done and be a people person who can make guests feel welcome and looked after.

Throw into the mix a practical mindset, the ability to think for yourself and a willingness to learn, and you’re pretty much there.

It’s about your values too. We have a can-do, fun loving, people centred ethos here at Away Resorts, which is captured by our holiday heroes’ mantra of Attentive Amazing Lovers – if that’s fired up your curiosity, have a read about it here and decide if it describes you.

Nice to have but not essential

It would be great if you tick some of these boxes too (but we won’t hold it against you if you don’t).

  • Experience of working on a holiday park
  • Experience of working in the hospitality sector

We provide training and will support you as you learn so don’t worry if your experience is limited, it’s your attitude that counts.

Want to join our team? Here’s how to apply

Click on the Apply Now button. If you’re new to our website, we’ll prompt you to register. If you’ve already registered, you can simply log in. Then complete your details and send us your best version of you.

That could be a vlog, blog or a Snapchat story; it could be a good old CV – if it is a CV, make sure you add a note or covering letter to say why you’re the one for the job.

It’s up to you what you say and how you say it; whatever makes you feel good and tells your story best.

Good Luck!
