WZ Lookout Lodge Driver (Seasonal / Part-Time)

Role Profile

We are looking for a driver to drive our Safari vehicle and trailer as part of our popular Lookout Lodge overnight experience. The driver is responsible for transporting our guests safely around the park in the Safari vehicle and trailer and carrying out daily safety checks. The driver is also expected to answer guest questions and assist less able guest and those in wheelchairs to access the vehicle. 

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Drive the Lookout Lodge vehicle and trailer, carrying up to 48 passengers.
• Interact with guests by answering questions, making announcements and promote a high level of customer care.
• Ensuring that they adhere to the 10pmh at all times whilst on site.
• Ensure that the doors are secured and the steps stowed in the correct position before the vehicle moves off. To open doors and lower steps to allow passengers off the vehicle when it stops.

Person Specification

• Have good communications skills both oral and written.
• Be able to deliver an excellent standard of customer service.
• Prior experience working with the public.
• Able to engage with guests e.g. when imparting information, or dealing with a first aid incident or other emergencies, ensuring they have a high quality experience at Lookout Lodge.
• Previous experience driving passenger vehicles (is desirable).
• Previous experience working in a visitor attraction (is desirable).

Please note:

Due to the nature of the position candidates must  possess a full, clean UK driving license with categories C +E.

The hours and shift pattern will be as follows:

• Monday 7.30am-10.15am
• Wednesday 5-8pm
• Thursday 5-8pm
• Saturday 7.30am-10.15am and 5-8pm
