Cleaner - South Kensington, London

My Chelsea is a 4* boutique hotel in South Kensington. We are looking for a Room Attendant to join our small team to be responsible for the cleaning of Guest Rooms and potentially Public Corridors, Lift Areas, Service Areas, Fire Exits and Stairs.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To ensure that all guest bedrooms, corridors, lift areas, service areas are cleaned and maintained to the highest standard.
  • To be able to complete the cleaning of all allocated rooms daily within the shift (both occupied and departures), ensuring all bedrooms, bathrooms and associated areas be cleaned to the standard of hygiene and cleanliness as laid down in the standards manual.
  • To follow all key signing procedures and take responsibility for assigned keys.
  • To be responsible for the daily work sheet, handing in the completed sheet at the end of the shift.
  • To ensure that the guests’ personal property and guest requests are dealt with in an efficient and appropriate manner.
  • To ensure that guests’ clothing is folded and placed neatly but not removed from the bedroom.
  • To replace all guest supplies when necessary and present them to the correct standard.
  • To sort and separate linen according to type and dispose of it in the correct manner according to the established policy and procedure.
  • To ensure that any damaged or badly stained linen is reported to the Housekeeper and disposed of according to procedure.
  • To dispose of all rubbish following the correct procedure, leaving the corridor free from debris at all times.
  • To use all cleaning products and materials correctly and with care following the established procedure laid down by myhotels.
  • To complete and follow up on any special cleaning instruction as given by the Housekeeping Management.
  • To report any breakages to the Head Housekeeper.
  • To ensure that all lost and found property is given to the Floor Housekeeper or taken to the Office and handled according to the Hotel established policy and procedure.
  • To report any rooms that do not require any service, or are double locked or have displayed the “Do Not Disturb” sign after 2 pm to the Floor Housekeeper, along with any special guest requests.
  • To ensure that the linen cupboard and service areas are left in a neat and tidy condition after use
