Kitchen Manager - The Feathers. Slough

Reports to: Retail Manager

Responsible for: All kitchen operations, kitchen team

Key Tasks:

  1. Ensure all Health Safety and Hygiene legislation procedures are implemented, maintained and complied with.
  2. Organise and implement kitchen staff rotas, holidays and sickness to be within budgeted hours.
  3. Recruiting and Training team as required.
  4. Ensure a processes in place for 100% spec delivery of food items at all times.
  5. Ensure a process is in place for delivery of food in the specified timescales
  6. Ensure Company standards of uniform and grooming are adhered to by all staff
  7. Encourage team work, lead and motivate the team.
  8. Manage performance issues in line with company procedure.
  9. Ensure that all stock is maintained in an appropriate manner to facilitate rotation, ordering, prepping, internal audits.
  10. Complete food stock-takes on a weekly basis.
  11. Ensure that controls are maintained to maximise profits, efficiency and minimise wastage.
  12. Liaise with other areas of the business and attend team meetings.
  13. Ensure all quality standards are met, and any customer food related complaints are dealt with effectively and speedily to ensure the customer leaves happy.
  14.  Organise stock and order system with par levels for ordering, Place orders to maintain sufficient stock
  15. Perform extra duties deemed necessary and reasonable for smooth running of the kitchen
  16. Ensure that all the kitchen equipment is maintained, clean and run efficiently.
  17. Make sure kitchen checks are completed.
  18. To carry out all tasks in line with the Greene King Values.
