2nd Electro-Technical Officer - Fleet - Ship Based

As a market leader in the cruise industry, we operate spectacular ships all over the world. Join us as a Second Electro-Technical Officer and you’ll understand that working at sea is more than just a job. It’s a way of life. Running and maintaining all onboard electronic and electrical equipment to keep the ship as safe and efficient as possible, you’ll visit different places, explore new worlds and gain experiences that stay with you for a lifetime.

Carrying out a wide range of planned and preventative maintenance, your role will be essential in keeping an uninterrupted service on all onboard electronic and electrical equipment, including engine room, bridge and passenger area equipment. As an Electro-Technical expert, you’ll troubleshoot problems, complete repairs and maintain stock levels — all whilst proactively prioritising your own work. Enjoying the chance to share your technical knowledge and understanding of safety regulations, we’ll even offer every opportunity for you to develop your leadership skills as you supervise junior officers, cadets and technicians.

To be able to apply you will have to have your ETO Certificate of Competancy (CoC), as well as your STCW High Voltage training certificate. At 2nd ETO level we are looking for individuals with a strong technical background, ideally on cruise ships or a similar environment, as well as strong customer-facing and people management skills.

If you’re a team player with the drive and determination to develop your career with a world-leading ship’s company that comprises the prestigious P&O Cruises and Cunard Line brands, join us on our journey.

We are currently sourcing candidates for our Talent Pools to fill anticipated roles in late 2018. Please note that throughout the Recruitment & On boarding process you may not be advised of a start date. If you are successful, sufficient notice will be provided when we have a ship and start date for you.
