Analytics Manager (Space, Range & Display)

As a Change Manager youll be making a significant contribution to the development and delivery of our space and range strategy. Youll be managing multiple projects and leading the delivery of tangible business benefits, whilst coaching and developing a team of analysts and organising them to deliver maximum value.

Whilst specific responsibilities will be dependent upon the changing needs of the Tesco business, the following provides an overview of the roles key responsibilities:

  • Set and communicate a clear vision and objectives for the team, defineand review KPIs
  • Support the team to deliver great performance, and remove barriers and enable continuous innovation
  • Build relationships and lead engagement with a variety of stakeholders around the business, from commercial teams to store leadership teams
  • Work with team to use advanced analytics combined with knowledge of relevant systems and processes to identify opportunities and determine strategy
  • Work with Finance to build business cases
  • Work with Technology to build solutions and deliver benefits at pace
  • Understand core technology concepts, grasp new ones quickly and appreciate their implications on delivery
  • Collaborate with your line manager and other people managers to collectively allocate resource to business priorities, where needed
  • Develop a supportive team environment, demonstrate great people skills and manage conflict when needed

  • Key Skills and Experience

    Youll need to have demonstrated the following:

  • Experience delivering complex, high risk projects
  • Experience working with Finance and Technology teams to build business cases and develop solutions
  • Experience working with Big Data (e.g. Hadoop/Data Warehouses) to deliver large scale change to an organisation
  • Excellent data modelling skills (SQL desirable but not essential)
  • User centric thinking
  • Bachelor degree in a numerical subject or demonstrable experience required, advanced degree a plus
  • Experience of working in a management consultancy a plus

Youll need to have demonstrated experience of:

  • Experience delivering complex, high risk projects.
  • Experience working with Finance and Technology to build business cases and develop solutions.
  • Experience working with Big Data (e.g. Hadoop/Data Warehouses)
  • Excellent SQL and strong data modelling skills.
  • User centric thinking. You will be able to demonstrate exposure to and experience of putting users at the centre of tool management: information architecture, user journeys, wireframe design, testing and design briefs.
  • Excellent financial management capability.
  • Experience of working in a management consultancy a plus.
  • Bachelor degree in a numerical subject or demonstrable experience required, advanced degree a plus.
