What is the main purpose of the role?
As our Head Receptionist, your focus will be on proactively managing the day to day operations of the Reception department, through the consistent delivery of high standards of both product and service.
Providing the highest possible levels of customer service is absolutely essential, achieved by being fully conversant with the hotel’s facilities and location, and anticipating guest needs wherever possible.
You’ll be responsible for managing; training and developing the Reception team ensuring objectives are set and regularly monitored in line with the Hotel Business plan, and support in holding a monthly departmental meeting to ensure all reception colleagues are briefed on any upcoming changes or events to allow them to demonstrate consistently excellent product knowledge.
The Ideal Candidate
Previous experience as a Team Leader at a Hotel Reception and use of Opera is essential. You will need the skills to engage, lead and motivate your team as well as an excellent attention to detail, organisation skills and the ability to prioritise your workload. A professional and confident approach and a polite telephone manner are also essential.
