Every year we train over 5,500 people who are entering or working within the fitness industry. Most recently, our Fitness Training Academy (FTA) has been supporting a wide range of learners into the industry, providing routes to apprenticeship study, higher education or employment.

Do you want to be part of this? We now have an exciting opportunity for a full time office based Learning Support Tutor. This role will be pivotal in ensuring the right information, advice and guidance is provided to support the learner’s needs across all programs within YMCAfit. This will also include supporting students on distance or blended learning programmes.

About You

You will have strong communication skills and be able to provide an outstanding level of support to students, supporting them with their learning needs in order to help them achieve success.

You will be an innovative thinker with the ability to look at processes and make informed decisions and recommend improvements to increase efficiencies within the team.

This will be a varied and exciting role in a fast paced environment where no one day will be the same. This is a real opportunity to take ownership and make the role your own as well as gain an insight in to education in the fitness industry with a leading provider.

This role requires the following skills and experience;

  • Level 2 and 3 Instructor Qualifications.
  • PTTLS qualification or equivalent. 
  • Current practical vocational skills and expertise in the areas that you are required to train and assess.
  • Strong IT skills, experience of using CRM systems or similar would be an advantage. 

In addition to the above you will have excellent administrative, time management and organisational skills. You will have a proven track record of imparting skills and learning to others and the ability to resolve conflict positively and make objective judgements.
