About The Role

 

 

The Advertising Manager will be responsible for delivering the daily Print, TV or Radio advertising requirements for the Ladbrokes and Coral brands, working across a seven day week on a rota basis.

 

 

The role will require effective communication with a range of other departments including design, trading, brand and other marketing functions in order to produce high quality, on brand and relevant best-in-class customer communications across Sportsbook, Casino & Bingo.

The Advertising Manager will work in the Marketing Team in Gibraltar and report into the Senior Advertising Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for delivering the daily advertising requirements for Ladbrokes or Coral, management of deadlines and ensuring all content is accurate and compliant. This will involve gathering information from the trading department, producing briefs for internal & external agencies, managing workflow & approval process.
  • The role will also require copy writing and layout guidance
  • Work closely with line manager to ensure Advertising and Production spend is in line with budget.
  • Raise purchase orders and track the monthly/quarterly budgeting process to ensure that all spend is accounted for.
  • Liaise with the Ladbrokes and Coral brand teams regarding the creation of TV and press advertising templates to ensure they are in-sync with the latest brand guidelines.
  • Liaise with the Ladbrokes and Coral promotion teams to ensure advertising content and brand share of inventory relates to business needs.
  • Review the weekly Media Tracker to ensure relevant support is being given to each brand and each promotion
  • Contribute to the data collection and output process for our media marketing mix model optimisation work.
  • Key contributor to development of strategic event and campaign planning to maximise the commercial opportunity presented by key events such as the Cheltenham Festival & major football tournaments.
  • Be aware of market, competitor and industry trends and offers to help the business formulate the most appropriate marketing messages ensuring the customer is at the heart of everything we do.
  • Ensure that all activity delivered is accurate, consistent, on Brand and the appropriate approvals procedure is followed and the relevant sign off obtained to ensure all customer facing communications are correct, legal and compliant.
  • Be aware of and understand appropriate legislation for relevant media channels e.g. Gambling Commission, CMA, Advertising Standards Authority, CAP & BCAP Codes and Senet Group to help ensure all activity is fully compliant.
  • Qualifications and Educational Requirements
    • Educated to a degree level in marketing or a related discipline beneficial but not essential
    Specialist Skills and Experience Required
  • Working knowledge & understanding of the UK media landscape and production processes.
  • Experience in UK media placement client or UK agency side beneficial but not essential.
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines and in a pressurized environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Strong organisational skills and experience of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Sound financial and analytical skills.
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships with internal and third party service providers
  • Creative with eye for design.
  • An interest in sport is essential.
  • An understanding of betting & gaming is essential.
  • The role will require weekend working on a rota basis.
