How The Ned Happened

Taking over the City’s disused Midland Bank Building, Soho House & Co. and New York’s Sydell Group have collaborated to restore the beautiful Grade I listed building. Hosting 250 bedrooms, 10 restaurants, bars, a member’s club, Barber & Parlour, Ned’s Club Active & Relax, two swimming pools, along with six dedicated event spaces.

Private Parties and Events

The Ned has six Grade I-listed meeting rooms and two outdoor terraces available for members to hire on the historic and fully-restored sixth floor.
The sixth-floor hosts many of our monthly members’ events, which range from talks and workshops to live performances and dinners.

The Role

Responsible for driving the Sales Team to achieve individual and team revenue goals within Corporate, Travel and Entertainment segments. In addition, account management of defined key corporate accounts and industry segments, maintaining customer relationships and business levels, within the domestic, European and international market place.

Key Responsibilities:
• Management of sales team ensuring development and growth of existing team
• Maintain, prospect, independently solicit and book transient business
• Exceed pre-determined room night and revenue goals as outlined by the Director of Sales
• Conduct customer sales calls, presentations and ongoing account assessments to maximize revenue potential and harness key account relationships
• Conduct site inspections, facilitate FAM trips, plan and execute sales trips and assume the responsibility as the direct sales contact within your market
• Upon closing all critical business deals, coordinate and follow-up with other hotel departments to ensure delivery of superior guest service.
• Plans Sales trips, under the direct approval of the Director of Sales, to major marketing areas, calling on accounts within their specific marketing area. Reports to the Director of Sales on potential markets needing coverage.
• Provides feedback to the Director of Sales on changing conditions, including trends in the competition, as a result of direct solicitation, telephone and direct mail, in their market areas.

Essential experience
• Previous line management experience essential
• Must have previously worked in a sales role within a 5* environment on property
