What is the main purpose of this role?

• To work closely with the Regional Revenue Manager to support the management of the rooms revenue functions, ensuring that there is a clear focus on achieving budgets and targets and STR growth.

• To effectively manage the leisure agent segment and their key account managers (both group and individual) ensuring that the business is distributed well over the hotels and that it remains a profitable part of the hotels overall revenue

• To support the Regional Revenue Manager in continuing and maintaining strong relationships with OTA’s.

• To oversee the management of all rooms revenue systems to ensure that revenues are maximised.

Key responsibilities

• To set daily pricing through the utilisation of pricing tools with a key focus on ensuring good Revpar and RGI growth on a day by day basis.

• To support the rooms forecast function ensuring this is managed by segment and by day for the next 3 months and that a continual 12 month rolling rooms forecast is in place.

• Conduct site visits when necessary for significant groups at both properties.

• Ensure that the groups and reservations team always sell cluster properties.

• Manage an effective group cancellation system ensuring that terms and conditions are adhered to across both properties and revenue is maximised.

The ideal candidate

As Rooms Revenue Manager, it is essential you can demonstrate the following skills and competencies;

  • Previous background within a similar role
  • A high degree of commercial acumen
  • Excellent people / communication skills and experience working with Opera
  • Extensive Excel skills
  • Persuasive and assertive in communication and negotiations
  • Able to present situations logically and face up to and resolve conflicts or criticism
  • Has a strong impact in own areas of accountability and strong impact around the business by being visible and self-confident
  • Confident in communicating with a wide range of people, both internally and externally. Is honest and thoughtful in communication – pitches information at the appropriate level

This role requires flexibility with regards to working hours and the ability to travel.
