About the role…

As Conference and Banqueting Manager you will have a good knowledge of running meetings and events as well as a passion for fresh, quality food; together with a desire to deliver excellent levels of service to lead the Meeting & Events Operations department.

You will organise and deliver Business Meetings, Special Events and Weddings for the hotels guests whilst constantly improving operating standards and ensuring consistently high standards of service at all times. Manage all Meetings and Events floor operations. Maintain exceptional levels of customer service. Ensure compliance of brand standards. Evaluate guest satisfaction levels with a focus on continuous improvement. Awareness of trends and propose ideas to build the range and quality of Meetings and Events operations. Maintain good communication and work relationships in all hotel areas and with external customers and suppliers. The ideal candidate will be flexible to work additional and out of hours where required and have a strong knowledge of hotel/leisure/service sector. 

About you…

The successful Conference and Banqueting Manager will have the following:

• 2-3 years experience in a Meeting and Events environment preferably in at least a supervisory or management position
• The ability to display excellent customer service and guest care skills
• Self-motivation and drive- and be able to motivate others to achieve
• The ability to implement standards, policies and procedures and to police them.
• Good presentation with an outgoing personality, excellent interpersonal skills, a professional manner and excellent command of written & spoken English with good IT skills
• A pro-active and can-do attitude with excellent team working skills
• Flexibility to work on a rota basis across seven days, mornings and evenings as required.
