Events Supervisor​ - London

We are currently recruiting for an Events Supervisor to join our busy and highly successful events team. 

As an Events Supervisor you will be working closely with the Events Manager and Food and Beverage Manager and it will be your responsibility to oversee the day to day operation of the Events department. You will be liaising between senior management and team members, to ensure that the highest level of customer service is being delivered and the expectations of our guests are being consistently exceeded. 

Main Duties

  • Run the daily operation of the events department, responsible for opening and closing procedures
  • Communicating all function details to the different departments of the hotel
  • Manage the logistics of the daily events, including the set ups and clear downs between bookings
  • Conduct daily briefings with the events team
  • Deliver training sessions to the team members on service standards and product knowledge
  • Write detailed events evaluation reports for the senior management team and Events Account Managers
  • Collate the bills for events, taking payments and invoicing the client
  • Act as the first point of contact and be on hand throughout the event to deal with any questions or queries
  • Deliver inspirational show arounds in order to showcase the spaces to prospective clients 
  • Attend weekly meetings with the Events Account Managers to run through upcoming events

Skills

  • Previous experience as an Events Supervisor within a 5* hotel or luxury events venue
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Superb attention to detail and driven by delivering exceptional standards
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills which are capable of nurturing, developing and inspiring staff
  • Previous experience in training and developing staff
  • Excellent personal presentation
  • Resilience and drive to get things right first time
  • Previous knowledge of Micros is desirable

Hours Required:

Full time as required by the operation. You will need to be flexible with the days and times you are able to work.
