Job Details

The GLL Sport Foundation (GSF) is looking for a Sport & Community Projects Administration Officer based at the Copper Box Arena, set in the iconic Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Stratford, East London. The GLL Sport Foundation was set up in 2008 to support young athletes by easing the financial burden of training and competitive sport. The Administration Officer will provide key support to the Sport & Community team. You'll be responsible for the day to day administration of the team's projects including GSF and the new GLL Community Foundation. This new initiative helps empower community groups and individuals to develop sustainable projects which improve their local communities, creating opportunities to be more active, play and learn together which is supported by our crowd funding platform.

As an Administration Officer, you'll support key projects and initiatives that increase participation in sport and engage communities. You'll undertake general administration tasks such as answering email and telephone enquiries, updating websites and social media platforms plus attending meetings and taking notes. You'll also assist in reviewing and processing athlete's funding applications as well as managing external supplier contracts and partnerships.

You'll have experience in general administration plus experience of working in development and / or project roles. It goes without saying that you'll have excellent attention to detail with great interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written) as you'll deal with a diverse range of people from our own senior managers to external suppliers and community groups. You'll also need to be computer-literate, in particular with MS Office, financial systems and social marketing platforms.

In return, we offer a range of benefits that you'd expect from the UK's largest leisure provider:

  • Pension schemes
  • Childcare vouchers
  • Ride to work scheme
  • Discounted membership at our leisure centres
  • The opportunity to join the GLL Society and have a say in how we're run plus associated social events
  • Career pathways
  • Ongoing training and development to help you to be the best

If you want to work with a passionate and dedicated team who love sport and make a difference to their local community, then apply now.

All pay rates are subject to skills, experience, qualifications, age and location.

To be shortlisted for the role, internal applicants will need to demonstrate their commitment to GLL by becoming a Society member where eligible.
