Situated in the heart of the Garden of England, Chart Hills is an award winning course designed by Sir Nick Faldo. Sitting in the High Weald of Kent, the course and clubhouse are easily accessible from major routes into the county.  An ideal situation for weddings and private functions, Chart Hills enjoys quiet, uninterrupted views across its 200 acres of parkland course complete with Oak woodlands and lakes.

We are seeking a Greenkeeper Assistant to join our Greenkeeping Team during our busy season (spring/summer).  There may be opportunities for further work beyond this for the right candidates.

 Main responsibilities:

  • To assist the greenkeepers with the preparation of the course for play and with general maintenance including, strimming, weeding, litter picking, de-stoning bunkers and edging bunkers, digging areas and other general maintenance and refurbishment tasks
  • To ensure club outdoor grounds and gardens are kept in a clean, tidy and attractive condition, this may include litter picking, leaf blowing, sweeping, basic gardening and weed control and cleaning common furniture
  • To keep management informed in a timely manner on conditions that will affect the game of golf
  • To use and maintain all machinery in a safe and professional manner
  • To report any equipment requiring maintenance or repair

 Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

  • Have good communication skills and be able to work as part of a team
  • Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous

This is a physically demanding role which requires working outdoors in all weather conditions.
