Butlins is now experiencing a period of growth - and the Butlins IT Team main objective is to ensure that all current and new systems are capable of supporting this growth - making sure they are scalable, robust, cost effective and enhance the guests experience, deliver the tools required to help create a fulfilling team experience and enable the business to make timely, accurate and relevant management decisions

The role of Product Owner, within the Development team, will be responsible for liaising with the business to clarify business requirements and manage the development lifecycle for the delivery of those requirements.The work will range from BAU to more complex project work.The team is transitioning to an Agile methodology and experience in this area will be beneficial.

About the role:

The Product Owner has an area of specific responsibility within this team - and covers:

Analysis and understanding of business requirements from system users of all levels - from either Support teams - or direct from teams on resorts

Stakeholder and Project management

Translation of requirements into User Stories

Creation of wireframes where appropriate

Management of backlog and iteration planning

Updating the business on the state of backlog and the work in progress

Involvement in the creation of Test plans and Test cases

Management od deployment to live

Other tasks as necessary to support the Butlins IT team

About you:

A software development background - ideally with an element of technical experience

Business analysis techniques - able to understand requirements and document appropriately

Sound understanding of common project management methodologies and disciplines through the complete project life-cycle

Ability to engage and interact with technical and non-technical staff

Organised and able to manage competing business priorities

Excellent problem solving skills

Exceptional communication and organisational skills

Ability to handle stressful situations with perseverance and professionalism and passion

Ability to multi-task efficiently

Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

Strong written, oral and communication / interpersonal skills

Drive, energy and enthusiasm, with a 'can do, will do' approach
