Casual Waiter - Palm Court

The Langham, London is currently looking to recruit a Casual Waiter in our Palm Court lounge. The dazzling Palm Court is famed as the place where the tradition of afternoon tea was born over 150 years ago.  All day light dining is served with timeless elegance.  Champagne enthusiasts may indulge their passion by choosing from one of London’s widest list of over 40 champagnes, including some rare and unusual offerings.

As a Casual Waiter in Palm Court, your main role will be to:

• welcome guests to Palm Court in a friendly and engaging manner
• provide prompt, friendly and efficient service
• be familiar with all food & beverage items on the menu
• maximise sales opportunity for food & beverage, upsell where appropriate
• demonstrate your passion in Palm Court and personalise and engage with your guests
• be responsible for ensuring bills are dealt with accurately
• ensure that you adhere to health and safety matters

Requirements

The ideal Casual Waiter/ress in Palm Court will have:

• excellent knowledge of food & beverage, in particular afternoon tea
• previous experience in a similar 5* environment
• flair, passion and a conscientious attitude
• confidence, professionalism and engaging personality
• ability to think outside of the box to surprise and delight our guests
• excellent attention to detail
• clear conversational English language, knowledge of foreign languages is beneficial
