Junior Project Manager - Asda Logistics Services

About the role;

As Junior Project Manager, you will be required to support the project teams to deliver against their critical success factors under the three main pillars of Projects, Governance and the Asda Project Management Framework (APMF). You will be responsible for managing small to medium sized projects within the Asda Logistics Services (ALS) portfolio to deliver against agreed measures of success.

The Ins and Outs;

Project Management
  • Stakeholder engagement / communication plans in place to ensure projects are delivered consistently throughout the project lifecycle
  • Ensure consistency of approach is applied across all projects, ensuring APMF framework is in place (where appropriate)
  • Provide challenge and support to Project Sponsors and Project Leads
  • Creation of detailed project plans, managed effectively through agreed governance
  • Low Cost Operating Model (LCOM) targets tracked and risks flagged early
  • Project artefacts in place and maintained consistently, regular reviews in place for RAID's, Milestone plans, LCOM plans
  • Status Reporting in place and highlighting the key information for escalation and decision making
Governance
  • All CER's and PO's raised accurately with project costs tracked throughout the project to ensure funds are spent according to sign off
  • Lead/Facilitate Project Meetings/Steering groups to ensure key actions / decisions are agreed to drive the project to success
  • Agree and implement appropriate governance across all projects
  • Ensure the process for agreeing and recording Capital decisions is consistently followed to ensure the process is auditable and actions are closed
  • Support the ALS Audits process for tracking inflight and future audits within ALS to ensure accurate updates are provided at the ALS Board and future audits are planned in advance
  • Actively Champion the Asda Project management Framework and provide coaching and support across ALS

  • MS Project, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Prince2 experience would be beneficial although not essential
