We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Goods Receiver to join our team at Bulgari Hotel London.
You will be responsible to receive all deliveries with particular emphasis on food items, to ensure correct quantity, weights etc. of all goods, to monitor, record and control food delivery temperatures, to regulate food quality in conjunction with Exec chefs, to assist with storage of food and other items, to record and account for all received goods.
On a daily basis you will ensure to comply with all hotel/departmental policies and procedures, manage the hotel inventory system (Fourth) and manual procedures, Inspect and verify goods delivered for quality, quantity, weight, trim, etc., match invoice or delivery note to purchase order, request or market list and not accept unauthorized merchandise. It is also expected that you inform the Purchasing Manager of any deficiencies and mistakes and amend invoice or delivery note accordingly. Input into the Fourth system all goods received daily and print receiving report for the Purchasing Manager and Assistant Director of Finance, always coordinating deliveries with vendors and ensure driveway is clear. You will participate and assist with the month-end inventory process.
The goods receiver, will label shelves and stock items in each store or cellar according to volume, i.e. higher volume closer to the store or cellar entrance, set minimum and maximum par levels for all items; initiate purchase request when stock level drops below par, coordinate with the Purchasing Manager & Chef(s) on goods to be returned and ensure proper rotation of stocks and issue goods on a “first in, first out” basis.
The ideal candidate has proven experience of at least one year in a hotel store or receiving operation, has the ability to communicate in English with guests/visitors/vendors and hotel staff to their understanding and the ability to compute mathematical calculations.
We encourage a diverse workforce however you will be required to have very good levels of written and spoken English and be eligible to work in the UK. Fluency in a second language would be beneficial.
