About the role:
We have a brilliant opportunity for a Planner to join our team! The role sits within the Activity Management team that forms part of Marketing Operations. As the central hub of the Customer Marketing team, Marketing Operations catalyse great work through simple, effective and collaborative ways of working. This is enabled by fully integrated processes, critical path management and key set-piece meetings with stakeholders from across the Customer Marketing function. The role will support the Marketing Activity Planning Manager in the managing and reporting on the delivery of marketing processes, driving delivery of all marketing activity to critical path and promoting integrated communications.
Key relationships with this role are with the following teams - Strategy, Proposition, Media, Creative, Insight, PR, POS, Community

The ins and outs:
- Support Marketing Activity Manager on evolving and developing Corporate Marketing Processes
- Maintain accurate Activity Plan and Critical Path documents that represent the current state of play at all times through constant communication with key stakeholders
- Set up, drive and report on delivery to critical paths for Campaign Activity at least one year out, flagging any risks to Marketing Activity Manager and reworking critical path if required
- Deliver accurate channel maps for all campaigns
- Support alignment of creative, media, proposition and strategy through key meetings and continuous engagement with stakeholders culminating in Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer final sign off sessions
- Act as the specific point of contact for George Fashion, George Home and Community teams to drive improvements in process and alignment with total Corporate Marketing Processes
- Ensure all Owned Media milestones are integrated into ATL campaign critical paths
- Monitor weekly additional activity requests against the Marketing Activity Plan and deliver monthly outputs planning report to track level of activity going through the Marketing function and spot opportunities
- Responsible for supporting the Activity Management Assistant to manage the Strategic and Creative Walk Through process and the creative sharing process to ensure alignment across all Marketing teams and all activity is signed off on time
What you'll need:
- Strong organisation skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience of collaborative working and building relationships across a number of internal stakeholders
- Ability to self-motivate
- Experience engaging with more senior stakeholders
- Excel skills
- Project management skills
- An understanding of retail and the ability to adapt plans and thinking
- Critical path management desirable
