Pay Rates

Shift Pattern and Contracted Hours

Hours: 40

Shifts: Dayshift - Monday to Friday 6am - 2pm & Saturday 6am - 12pm
Backshift - Monday to Friday 2pm - 10pm
Nightshift - Monday to Friday 10pm - 6am
Some Sunday nightshift working will also be required

Contract: Permanent

Job Description

Our production process runs 24 hours a day, Monday to Saturday. Your role a Production Shift Supervisor is to manage your shift, who rotate through days, nights and afternoons, enabling them to produce our excellent tasting products to the highest quality requirements whilst ensuring our food safety, health and safety, hygiene procedures and guidelines are achieved at all times.

You will also be responsible for creating an environment of continuous improvement to ensure we remain competitive, therefore knowledge and experience of lean techniques are desirable, a good knowledge of HACCP along with a Food Safety qualification, minimum of Level 3, experience of carrying out investigations, these could be disciplinary, accident or customer complaints and producing the required reports.

Applicants must have experience of Supervising within a FMCG high volume environment. The work environment has exposure to flour and dust and therefore would not be suitable for individuals who suffer respiratory problems. 

 

 

Skills

  • Supervisory or previous line management experience is essential.
  • Flexible in availability for working hours as you may be required to work different days or hours for business reasons and training.
  • A good level of numeracy and literacy, preferably B grade GCSE in Math and English, along with the ability to use a computer, word, excel and powerpoint.

    Key Responsibilities:

  • To supervise the production operation in line with the production plan.
  • To monitor performance;To set team targets & objectives;
  • Carryout weekly one to ones and timely personal development reviews
  • Ensure the team delivers the key requirements in line with BRC accreditation
  • Ensure team members carryout their duties in line with Health and Food Safety standards and procedures
  • Manage SOP’s, training and skills matrix.
  • Manage sickness, lateness and absence process
  • Manage behaviour and performance
  • Lead by example by always behaving in line with the company values.
