How will you make a difference?

Here's the short answer;

Customer service is extremely important at Asda - it is everyone's responsibility to ensure we deliver Warm and Friendly Service to all our customers. Every customer expects to receive great service at Asda and subsequently, whenever you're on the shop floor or on the phone we expect you to give great service to them. Customers are at the heart of our business, without them, we have no business! Great warm and friendly service requires great training for all our colleagues and managers. We expect you to work with the People Service Manager, Managers and Training Buddies to ensure all colleagues are trained and validated on the appropriate coaching and their training records are kept up to date.

Everyday matters

We're proud of our warm and friendly service. It's what our customers love and have come to expect. So we'll always expect you to:
  • Greet customers with a smile & use eye contact, always paying full attention to the customer you are serving
  • Courtesy is a big part of our warm and friendly service culture so remember the importance of saying please and thank you
  • Ensure the training rooms are kept clean and tidy and fit for purpose at all times and the Training and Development board is kept up to date
  • Support the HR Manager e.g. preparing events, processing applications and communicating with applicants/external businesses etc.
  • Ensure all training materials are available and all filing is up to date
  • Work closely with Department Managers and Training Buddies to ensure they know who needs to be trained on what and when
  • Be a good role model for your colleagues

Whilst this role as Training Coordinator is predominantly non customer facing, you will answer the phone to external customers and some tasks will require you to go onto the shop floor where your customers are.
