Waiter - TING - Shangri-La Hotel, At The Shard, London

Taking inspiration from the spires of London churches and the masts of tall ships depicted by the 18th century Venetian painter Canaletto, Renzo Piano designed The Shard as a spire-like sculpture emerging from River Thames. Outstanding architecture and pure luxury is why up to six thousand people per day visit The Shard’s restaurants, bars and why tens of thousands visit the Shangri-La Hotel, located on level 34-52 of this magnificent building. We currently have a vacancy for a Waiter/-ess joining our team in our beautiful Ting Restaurant on Level 35

TĪNG restaurant features an elegant and contemporary setting of Chinoiserie design, and presents a modern European menu with subtle Asian influences, featuring dishes made with locally sourced ingredients. Views overlook the River Thames, Tower Bridge, Maritime Greenwich, Canary Wharf and the historic counties of Kent, Surrey and Sussex.

The Role

The Waiter/ess will be responsible for providing a finest personalised service by adhering to Food and Beverage brand standards and by engaging with our guests and creating memorable experiences for them.  She/he will maintain the cleanliness and organisation of all supplies, equipment, work areas as well as guest areas in order to ensure the comfort and safety of our guests.

She/he will ensure that the F&B team achieves profitability and growth in line with our Core Values (humility, courtesy, respect, helpfulness and sincerity) at all times.

Essential Requirements

• Relevant experience in a similar role
• Excellent guest engagement skills
• Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail
• Fluent in English (both oral and written) 

Desirable Requirements

• Experience in a 5* star London hotel
