Summer is almost here and Fusion’s lidos will be buzzing with customers enjoying our fantastic facilities! Would you like to work outdoors in the sunshine this year? We are hiring able swimmers to work as lifeguards at Hillingdon Sport & Leisure Complex Lido with full training provided!

Hillingdon Sport & Leisure Complex is an amazing facility which boasts both an indoor and outdoor 50 m pool as well as a brand new state of the art gym, sports hall, health suite, studio’s, crèche, 3G pitches and an Athletics Stadium.  As the centre is busy we have a large vibrant workforce and this summer we are looking for people to join our team to help support the summer lido season on a Part-Time and Full-Time basis.

The role of lifeguard

Lifeguards have one of the most important jobs at our centres and that is keeping our customers safe in and around the water. Our Lifeguards/Recreation Assistants also perform other duties whilst between duties, such as cleaning assigned areas, setting up and breaking down various activities and events and conducting pool testing according to procedures. If you are interested in a career in leisure beyond the summer season, Fusion also has fantastic training programmes that can lead to management plus permanent operational vacancies.

What we are looking for:
In order to be considered for our Lifeguarding positions, you need to be an able swimmer with excellent customer service skills. You should also be able to meet the following criteria to qualify for NPLQ training:

• Swim on your front and back
• Swim 50m in under 60 seconds
• Swim 200 meters continuously
• Climb out of the pool unaided without using steps or a ladder

Individuals that pass our interview and swim competency assessments will be offered employment with Fusion and will be provided with full training.
