Head Chef - The George Hotel, Lichfield

The George Hotel is a 3 star hotel with 45 bedrooms, Darwin’s Restaurant which serves modern-British food and conference and banqueting facilities for up to 110, situated in the heart of Lichfield City Centre.

We have an excellent opportunity for a Head Chef to join our Kitchen Team.

As Head Chef you will be responsible for maintaining high standards across the entire operation including Darwin’s Restaurant, bar, afternoon tea, room service and banqueting.

The successful candidate will be able to lead from the front and communicate effectively at all levels. You will be able to demonstrate a firm grip of budgets, stock control and ordering and have a good understanding of people management in order to train and motivate the brigade to achieve the very best standards possible. Previous experience in a similar high quality hotel operation working with fresh produce and multiple food outlets is essential.

This is a full time position working shifts to include evenings and weekends.
