About The Role

 To be a professional, friendly and efficient first point of contact for all guests of The Brighton & Hove Greyhound stadium
ensuring that our facilities are sold in such a way that maximizes revenue whilst satisfying the guests’ expectations.
The sales and information clerk reports to her/his supervisor and or manager (where applicable to the Retail Operations
Manager) Accountabilities:
(1) To :
Ensure you are fully aware of all tariffs, promotions, facilities and current activities within and providing
information about the available packages to the customers (face-to- face, via internet, by phone or any other
means of communication Negotiate with clients to achieve maximum revenue profit potential while satisfying and exceeding clients’
expectations.
Ensure that all bookings/reservations, enquiries and requests are confirmed in line with company policy. Answer
general enquiries about restaurant, celebration and or any other packages and information available at the time
Adhere to the trained call standards at all times and Take customers reservations/bookings and process the
bookings/reservations as per current standards and procedures this includes: suggestive selling, customer data
entry, credit card processing, ticket issuing, producing booking/reservations letters and/or confirming bookings
by email.
Producing advance information for all relevant departments. To liaise with all departments (and suppliers) and
communicate any special requirements and requests of individual guests.
Answer calls/customers and transfer calls to the relevant departments
Provide restaurant/retail operations managers with a daily/weekly update of the booking and other available
packages (for example 6-Pack) as and when requested by management
Take bookings and process customer payment and follow the procedures for internal cash/payment reporting
as per current standards
Table planning, allocations of tables in the most efficient and effective way
Maintaining high standards, to undertake any reasonable requests made by management in any other areas of
the house.
Dealing with Delivery enquiries and informing relevant departments/personnel of delivery arrival
Be fully aware of and adhere to health and safety, fire and bomb threat procedures.
(2) Consistently follow specifications and procedures as specified during training for providing assistance,
guidance and information to customers, telephone answering, suggestive selling and customer care
(3) Cash handling and use PDQ card machines (credit/debit card processing) for charging admission etc, and
assist in customer enquiries as and when asked by the line managerFull job description available on request, full training will be provided.

Additional Information

  Fluent in spoken and written English
Basic knowledge of math’s is essential
Excellent telephone manner with a warm and welcoming disposition
Experienced in customer service front office operations or sales in catering and hospitality
Well presented, friendly, professional
